Students with a medical need, call (603) 862-9355. Follow the instructions for after-hours care.
You will be automatically connected with a medical call center, where staff will conduct a phone assessment and make suggestions for additional care options, including a visit to an urgent care center or hospital, if appropriate.
Emergency Care
Dial 9-1-1 for immediate response to life-threatening injuries or illnesses.
For other urgent concerns, you may seek care at a local hospital or urgent care center. Be sure to bring your insurance card with you. A listing of area urgent care centers and hospitals follows. Information provided in this summary is for general reference only.

Mental Health Emergencies and After-Hours Care
Students in crisis after 5 p.m. or on weekends may call (603) 862-2090 (Relay NH: 1-800-735-2964) and press 0 to speak with a counselor.
In-person evaluations after hours are conducted at Portsmouth Hospital in the ER by on-call clinicians from the Behavioral Health Unit. Students and/or their insurance companies are billed for these face-to-face evaluations. Students transported to the ER by ambulance will be financially responsible for those services.
Students may also dial 911 in the event of an after-hours mental health emergency.
